Help From Local Churches
Local churches can get involved in many ways – Here’s some expamples of how the hocal church can help:
KeOlaKa Pu’uwai Children Services
There is always a need for Christian families who want to be trained to:
- Adopt children who can not be raised by their biological parents.
- Provide foster care for children who must be temporarily separated from their parents.
- Experienced foster/adoptive parents who will mentor: New foster parents and/or New adoptive parents
- Christian couples or individuals who are willing to give practical help to: Foster/adoptive families and/or Bio-families with special needs children.
- Christian professionals who want to partner with HOPE INC to: Provide therapeutic help to at-risk families and children and/or Provide other services to children, women and families
We also need Christian women who want to be trained to provide telephone counseling and or face-to-face counseling with:
- Women who may be experiencing an unplanned pregnancy.
- Single-mothers needing resources and help to plan and provide for their children.
- Parents whose ability to safely parent has been complicated by such things as substance abuse and domestic violence.
- Christian families who will open their homes (at different levels) to:
- Pregnant Teens
- Single mothers with children
- Christian couples willing to provide a father figure to children of single women.
- Christian parents to help teach parenting and mentor young parents.
