About Us
HOPE In the Name of Christ, also known as HOPE INC, Inc., is a Hawaii licensed, faith-based, private foster/adoption agency who believes that every child in Hawaii deserves a loving family. Regardless of age, whether infant to adult, everyone needs a place in a family; an accepting home; and a hope for the future. The people of HOPE INC are committed to showing unconditional love and providing assistance to those who are oppressed, helpless, and fatherless. Our services include: Pregnancy Counseling; Parenting Classes; and Foster Care & Adoption Training.
Whether it is a family in crisis, an unexpected pregnancy, or a child that has languished in foster care, HOPE INC has provided opportunities for Hawaii’s children to know a loving and nurturing family since 1998. The families we help may be the biological relatives, who through our support and encouragement have found the strength to resolve their issues; Or, it may be a nurturing family provided through our fostercare/adoption, support groups and trainings.
Although our faith is the foundation of our organization, HOPE INC is not a church, nor are we affiliated with any particular denomination. Participation in a church is not required to qualify for HOPE INC assistance. However, it is through our faith that we are inspired and encouraged to persevere in our service to the children and families of Hawaii.
Our mission is to provide loving, nurturing, forever families for Hawaii’s children of all ages who would otherwise stand alone. To accomplish that mission, HOPE INC is looking for community members and organizations who will partner with us financially so we can increase our statewide services to those who are are in need. It is HOPE INC’s goal to do this without depending on state and federal funds. We believe this is also an opportune time for those of faith to shine in their giving/assistance of the down trodden and troubled; rather than turning our eyes away expecting the government to do it without our help.
HOPE INC is a faith-based non-profit 501c (3) organization that does not charge for available services. HOPE INC believes that children should never be a commodity and that families should not be denied services based on their income.
HOPE INC is funded by tax deductible donations, grants and contracts. If you make a donation to HOPE INC to help cover operating expenses, your contribution no matter how large or small will help children and at-risk families. To make a donation, please click here.
